What you need to run Dipstick

Dipstick runs on macOS 13 Ventura or later, on Apple silicon or Intel, and reads the AI coding tools you are already signed in to on this Mac — no account, no API keys, nothing else to install. There is no signed build to download yet; the status line below says where that stands, and the setup guides work today.

Requirements

macOS 13 Ventura or newer: Apple silicon or Intel. One universal build covers both.
At least one supported service, already signed in: Claude Code installed and signed in.

The ChatGPT desktop app, or an authenticated Codex CLI.

Cursor installed, opened, and signed in.

Google Antigravity CLI installed and signed in, for the experimental local quota projection.

GitHub CLI installed and signed in to an account with Copilot access.
Nothing else: No API keys, no separate login, no hosted account, no third-party dependency. Dipstick reads the tools you already authenticated, using their own credentials, on your own machine.

02 / 04 · How it will install

Drag it to Applications. That is the whole install.

A signed, notarized download from this website: Take the ZIP, move Dipstick.app into /Applications, and open it. The app checks once a day for a newer version and offers an Update button in the popover when one exists. Quit Dipstick before updating it.
One universal build, not two: The release is assumed to be a single universal binary covering Apple silicon and Intel, so there is no architecture to choose. If that assumption ever changes, this page grows a chooser rather than a footnote.
Not the Mac App Store, for structural reasons: The reason is structural rather than scheduling: App Sandbox cannot accommodate the capture helpers or the gh, claude and codex subprocess model Dipstick is built on.
Homebrew Cask later: A Cask follows once the stable URL and update behaviour have proven reliable.

No signed build has been published. Apple Developer enrollment and release signing are still outstanding, so there is nothing here to download and nothing here that pretends otherwise.

This page will carry the download the day the first notarized build is tagged. Nothing else about it changes.

The setup guides work now.

Every prerequisite above is something you can check on your Mac this minute. Getting a provider ready now means the meter is live the moment you install.
