Set up Antigravity
Dipstick reads an owner-only local projection file written by a signed helper. That means the prerequisite is not an API key — it is that the tool itself is installed and already authenticated on this Mac.
Prerequisites
- macOS 13 Ventura or newer, on Apple silicon or Intel.
- Google Antigravity CLI installed and signed in, for the experimental local quota projection.
02 / 03 · Steps
Four steps to a live meter.
- Step 1
- Enable Antigravity on the first-launch provider screen and confirm the status-line change when asked. It is reversible.
- Step 2
- Use the official CLI until it emits a status-line quota payload — until then there is nothing to project.
- Step 3
- Choose Refresh. Dipstick rereads the local projection and lists the buckets it found.
- Step 4
- Place
gemini-weeklywhere you want it and choose Finish.
Fast local checks identify which services are available before any authenticated tool, credential, subprocess or network request is used, so an unconfigured provider costs nothing.
03 / 03 · When it fails
Honest failure modes.
These are the ones you will actually hit, and what each one means.
